Your final paper should present a case study on a topic relevant to any of the issues weve discussed this semester in class.A case study uses a specific example to describe and discuss a larger issue or trend.For example,if you want to talk about violence in childrens media, you could use the book series The Hunger Games as your case.If you want to talk about prosocial messages in childrens media, you could use the series Doc McStuffins as your case.Your paper should provide a summary of the larger issue (ex. violence in kids media), a summary of the case youre presenting (ex. the book series), and then provide an analysis of your own. You should talk about why you feel your case is relevant to the larger issue, what it says about childrens media in general, and what its possible effect on its audience could be.
